Why seek counselling?

If you are feeling troubled or overwhelmed with difficulties in your life, counselling can offer you a safe, confidential and welcoming space where you can be truly heard and understood. Together we can respectfully explore your feelings, help you to make better sense of what is going on, and open the way to new possibilities.

Many people look for help following a crisis or trauma, such as bereavement, the end of a relationship, divorce, redundancy, termination of pregnancy or miscarriage. Some may want support coming to terms with a difficult or traumatic personal history; others feel stuck-in-a-rut. Some may simply seek a deeper understanding of themselves and how they relate with others or want to feel more alive and at-one with the world.

  • Fertility issues and pregnancy loss

My approach

I work relationally and have a warm, sensitive and down-to-earth approach, offering you the opportunity to be listened to in a non-judgemental way.  I will not offer you advice but will help you explore your experiences in a way that will allow you to find your own way forward. This can feel very different to talking to a close friend or relative.

I  will work together with you to find release from painful feelings – emotional and physical. My aim is for you to feel more in control of your life and able to make the choices and changes that feel right for you, in order to feel happier, healthier, more confident and fulfilled.


I believe that our therapeutic relationship is important and I want you to find the therapist who feels right for you. I therefore offer a reduced fee initial consultation if you would like to meet for an hour to get a feel for whether we’d like to work together. After that, we would typically arrange a regular time each week to meet.
